Jones goes into his first year at Princeton University as an assistant sprints, hurdlers and jumps coach. He spent five years coaching at two Ivy League institutions, Columbia University in the City of New York and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In total, his athletes earned three NCAA first-team All-American honors, set two Ivy League records, and won sixteen total individual Ivy League titles. He also coached an athlete to a Ghanaian record which allowed her to represent her country in the IAAF Continental Cup and multiple African Championships. He has co-taught the USTFCCCA Jumps Specialist in addition to the T&F Technical Certifications with Boo Schexnayder.
